The longer I practice the more I see the percentage of people benefiting from Chiropractic growing larger. Most of us know that Chiropractors manipulate the spine in what is called an adjustment of the vertebrae, but what else do Chiropractors do?
Chiropractors actually do many things, they are extremely versatile, and they practice a wide variety of techniques and complimentary branches of medicine. Here is a list of some of the things that Chiropractors do. Keep this in mind when you are looking for a good Chiropractor because we all aren't the same by any means.
  • Use manipulative techniques only. (Straight Chiropractors) manipulate the spine.
  • Use forceful manipulation (cracking sounds).
  • Use non-forceful or gentle manipulation (no cracking sounds)
  • Use a combination of both forceful and non forceful manipulation.
  • Use complimentary medicines such as homeopathy, nutrition, and herbs. Chiropractors are well educated in nutrition, detoxification and natural healing techniques.
  • Use sports medicine. These Chiropractors are experts in treating sports injuries and in the rehabilitation recovery process from these injuries.
  • Use physical therapy modalities and procedures in their office. Chiropractors may use extensive rehab and neuromuscular physical therapy procedures and are well trained in their use from the Chiropractic colleges.
  • Use acupuncture. Many Chiropractors are trained in acupuncture. Some are fully licensed LAC's and others are allowed to practice acupuncture (with limited training) under their state Chiropractic license.
  • Use various manipulative techniques for the spine, extremities and soft tissue. There are many types of manipulative techniques for the body, ranging from straight manipulation, to emotional balancing techniques, to non force subtle alignment of the spine.
My practice consists of straight manipulation of the spine and extremities, treatment of acute injuries and chronic back problems and extensive use of nutrients, herbs and homeopathic medicine. From constitutional single remedy homeopathic treatment of illness to prescription of acute combination remedies, nutrition and herbs for physical ailments.
I currently practice in Malibu, CA. and can be reached via E-mail at or via phone at (310) 457-1775 x1.
All the Best,
