A breakthrough in Vitamin E supplementation, Ultimate-E is a superior mixed tocopherol formula that does NOT contain any added soy oil (many vitamin E softgels contain soy oils as a filler). Most clinical research on vitamin E (showing antioxidant protection, reduced incidence of cardiovascular disease, neurological protection and ocular support) has been conducted utilizing pure alpha tocopherol. However, gamma tocopherol is in the highest concentration in the diet, and some studies have found superior effects using mixed tocopherols supplementally. Gamma tocopherol is helpful in antioxidant protection and decreasing risk of prostate cancer, while alpha and delta tocopherols decrease lipid peroxidation and improve insulin sensitivity.
Each gelcap contains:
Vitamin E (as d-Alpha Tocopherol from 1,000 mg mixed tocopherols) 500I.U.
Typical profile of Ultimate E:
d-Alpha tocopherol (500IU min) -335mg
Beta tocopherol* - 9-11mg.
Gamma tocopherol* - 400-450 mg.
Delta tocopherol* - 115-150 mg.
*Beta, Gamma and Delta tocopherols do not have recognized IU equivalents. Beta, Gamma and Delta tocopherols will vary slightly as this is a pure, natural product with weight adjusted to acheive 500 IU d-Alpha tocopherol.
Dosage: 1 to 3 gelcaps qd.
